About Me

I am an Assistant Professor at the Global Scientific Information and Computing Center (GSIC), Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech). I am a member of the Matsuoka lab, where I'm working on various interesting projects with highly-talented researchers and students.

I received Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tokyo Tech in 2008.

Research

My primary research interest is parallel and distributed computing, especially high-performance power-aware computing on large-scale heterogeneous machines such as the TSUBAME supercomputer at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, which is one of the largest heterogeneous machines in the world. My past research focused on various dependability issues in HPC environments, such as fault localization in massively-parallel clusters and Grids, and memory error tolerance in GPUs.

I'm currently leading a 5-year research project on post petascale high performance computing: "Highly Productive, High Performance Application Frameworks for Post Petascale Computing" (funded by JST CREST). More information can be found at its website.
