Koichi Shirahata received his Ph.D. in 2015 from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, under supervision of Prof. Satoshi Matsuoka. He received his B.S. in 2010, and his M.S. with an emphasis in MapReduce and GPGPU in 2012, both from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. His current research interest is large-scale data processing in supercomputers and clouds; such as MapReduce, GPGPU, graph processing, APGAS programming, and stream processing. He is particularly interested in utilizing accelerators and managing memory hierarchy for large-scale graph processing.
